How to Track your DPD Parcel

Knowing exactly where your shipment is at any given moment provides peace of mind for both you and your customers. With DPD, tracking your parcels sent from the UK is straightforward and accessible. The company offers several methods to ensure you can keep a close eye on your delivery every step of the way.

DPD Online Tracking

The most common method to track your DPD parcels is through their online tracking system. This allows you to check the status of your shipment 24/7, from any device with an internet connection. All you need is the parcel number and delivery postcode.

  1. Visit the DPD website
  2. Enter your parcel number in the tracking field and hit ‘Track’.

Tip: If you want to track up to 30 parcel numbers at once, use DPD’s Track It service.

DPD App

For a more convenient way to track your parcels, install the DPD mobile app. It offers a real-time tracking feature, which means you can watch your parcel move from point A to B in real time. You can also opt for push notifications to be alerted of any status changes.

How to Prepare your DPD Parcel

Preparing your package for shipping with DPD is a straightforward task, yet requires a keen attention to detail to ensure your items arrive safely at their destination. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to go about it:

  1. Choose the Right Packaging: Select a box that’s sturdy and well-suited to the size and weight of your item. Make sure it’s in good condition, with no damages or tears.
  2. Wrap Your Item: Wrap each item in your package individually. This is particularly important if you’re shipping multiple items in the same package. Use paper bubble wrap or newspaper offcuts.
  3. Fill Empty Spaces: To prevent your items from moving around during transit, fill any empty spaces in your box with packing peanuts or crumpled paper.
  4. Seal Your Package: Use strong tape to seal your package. Do not use string, as this can get caught in DPD’s automated sorting machines.
  5. Label Your Package: Clearly write or print the recipient’s address and your return address on the package. If you’re using a pre-printed label, ensure it’s firmly attached and easily visible.
